Work with the Business Analysts to understand the enhancements/changes being propagated in a particular release cycle and performing all phases of software engineering including requirements analysis, application design, and code development & testing.
Design, develop and test reusable frameworks, libraries and Java/Scala components
Reviewing code and providing feedback relative to best practices, improving performance etc
Partner with data analyst, product owners and data scientists, to better understand requirements, solution designs, finding bottlenecks, resolutions, etc
Ensuring adherence to defined process & quality standards, best practices
Demonstrate enthusiasm and zeal to acquire domain knowledge
Working very closely with Architecture group and driving technical solutions.
Participate and contribute to Team/Project Reviews
Actively involved in Process improvements and automations.
Drive the team and collaborate to meet project time lines.
Experience in agile(scrum) development methodology
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple simultaneous priorities
At least 3+ years of experience with the Big Data Application Development specific skills: Spark, Scala, HBase, Hive, SQL and having hands on experience on Map Reduce, PIG, Python with Java Applications (technologies including AngularJS etc...) is added advantage
Requires strong practical experience in agile application development, file systems management, and DevOps discipline and practice using short-cycle iterations to deliver continuous business value.
Some experience performing conceptual and logical data model design
Strong development/automation skills. Must be very comfortable with reading and writing Scala, Python or Java code.
Nice to have experience with messaging and complex event-processing systems such as Kafka and Storm
Clear and concise communication, able to articulate clearly.
Healthcare Experience is a plus but not mandatory.
